EC outlines measures to reduce rejected ballots

EC CHAIRP.jpgChairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC) Charlotte Osei says the commission has introduced new measures to reduce rejected ballot.

These measures include having a separate color for the indelible ink from that of the thumb pad in the polling booth to reduce the number of rejected ballot which was over 251,000 in the 2012 elections.

Madam Osei also revealed that, they have also come up with a video circulating on social media to teach people how to vote properly.

On the protection of its officials at various polling stations across the country, the EC boss said additional security personnel have been deployed to ensure a violence free elections.
